Dec 29 - Jan 4

Joe Martin visited with us in Cabo San Lucas. Enjoyed good snorkeling and night life in town.

Jan 5 - 9

Linger in Cabo San Lucas, waiting for gusting winds to die down, Temperatures are unusually cool. Day times high 70 degrees.

Jan 10 Motor/sail north about eight hours to Los Frailles. Catch another Mahi-mahi.
Jan 11 Discover gallons of water under the v-berth. Work most of the day trying to find the plugged bilge.
Jan 12 Row to shore and explore the beach area of Los Frailles. See a Manta Ray jump, flip and summersault at least 25 times!
Jan 13 - 14 Sail 30 hours across the gulf of California (sea of Cortez) to Mazatlan. A grey fin back whale crosses our bow about 50 feet away.
Jan 14 - Feb 11 Linger in Mazatlan, docked at El Cid Marina.
Jan 17 - 24 Rod's brother Bruce and his wife Kathy visit.
Jan 29 Steve and Michelle arrive. Good snorkeling is non-existent. Temperatures are 70 to 75 degrees. Exploring the city is interesting.
